Our Legal Practice
We assist people in the following practice areas.
Estate planning, wills and trusts:
We will help you look at the different strategies for distributing your assets upon death, preparing for possible disability, and naming guardians to raise your minor children in the event of your death. We will prepare all the documents necessary to put your estate/disability plan in place, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, designation of standby custodians for children and health care directives. We also help establish special needs trusts or supplemental needs trusts for disabled persons.
Probate, estate and trust administration:
We work with personal representatives (another term used is executors), attorneys in fact, heirs and persons named in the will to help you complete the probate process and settle the estate of a loved one. We represent trustees and beneficiaries in trust administration. We also handle litigation in these areas.
Guardianships and conservatorships:
We advise individuals who need to put a conservatorship or guardianship in place, establishing power of attorney for the protection of a loved one who lacks the capacity to manage his or her affairs. We also handle guardianship/conservatorship litigation.
We handle a wide range of issues involving residential and commercial real estate, from the review and preparation of lease agreements to the completion of all legal matters related to the sale or purchase of property. We also handle real estate litigation.
